 On a bracing atumn day 150+ delegates and speakers gathered at new Courtyard Marriott Waterfront Hotel to participate in V.Ships Poland 4th annual seafarer conference.

The day of the event hosted by V.Ships Poland GM Dariusz Jellonner comprised of an offshore industry conference where presentations, discussions panel and audience questions looked at the current market and identifying opportunities, as well as understanding training, development and competency requirements for seafarers in the "new normal" of the present oil & gas sector.

Break times offered an opportunity to socialise and discuss topics in an informal setting. Guests were able to compete on a unique "brain training" virtual driving game and work together to solve giant vessel puzzles in the fastest time.

Speakers included from V.Ships: Offshore Head of sale & Marketing Maarten Verjaal, Istanbul Crew Co-ordinator Deniz Kircova, Limassol Offshore Crew Manager Vassillis Kokkalis, Oslo Offshore Crew Manager John-Are Haatuft, Rio Crew Manager Simone Guerra, Rio Technical Seperintendent carlos Rodrigues, Monaco MSQ Superintendent Damir Rasol, Offshore Crew Operations Manager Maciek Bejm, Aberdeen Technical Superintendent Gary Cunningham, Gdynia Offshore marine Manager Piotr Lewinski and Head of Seafarer Training Alasdair Ireland.

Guest industry speakers included DSCV SBM Installer Vessel manager Vanja Haramina, marlins Product Manager Mike Pearsall, Chief Instructor Maritime Maersk Training Karsten Lundsgaard haegg, DSCV SBM Installer Operations Manager Yann Repiquet and Kinsberg Key Support manager Oyvind Pederson.

The feedback from attendees of the Conference has been collected by the offshore team to help plan similar future event.
